Free Usage & Source-Available Policy

Defines free usage rights, source-availability terms, and best-effort support boundaries for WebPivotTable.

Effective date: 2026-02-17. This page is a practical policy draft and should be reviewed by legal counsel before final publication.

1) Usage Rights

• WPT can be used at no cost for personal, educational, internal, and commercial projects.
• No purchase step is required for standard usage and integration.
• You may deploy applications that include WPT in production environments.

2) Source-Available Terms

• WPT is currently source-available, not open source.
• Source code redistribution, resale, relicensing, or publishing modified versions is not allowed without explicit written permission.
• Building a directly competing product by repackaging or reselling WPT code is not allowed without explicit written permission.

3) Support Model

• Support is provided on a best-effort basis through documentation and issue triage.
• No guaranteed SLA is provided.
• Priority is given to reproducible issues with clear environment and dataset context.

4) Warranty & Liability

• WPT is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
• The maintainers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the component.
• Users are responsible for validating suitability, security, and compliance in their own systems.

5) Policy Updates

This policy may be updated over time. Continued use of WPT after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
